The Peter Newman Scholarship Fund

Applying for Annual Transpersonal Psychology Scholarship
To be eligible for an Atlantic University Annual Scholarship, here are the requirements:
You must be one of the fully admitted students at the Master of Arts in Transpersonal Psychology program with “unconditional” admission status.
You must have fully and completed at least three courses with a minimum of nine credits.
You must fill in the Atlantic University Scholarship Application, which contains an essay. Anyone applying for the scholarship should clearly express their need for scholarship assistance to supplement tuition during justifying conditions. Students should also demonstrate plans for completing their studies.
You should not have received an Atlantic University scholar more than two times.
The Scholarship Application Committee reviews all the applications. Scholarship recipients are awarded half the tuition of a single course, depending on their tuition fees.
Military Scholarship is offered to:
Dependant/spouse of Reserve or Active Duty
You can benefit from a scholarship in form of a 20% reduction in tuition per academic credit if you are a Military Student. That is equivalent to a $216 reduction per academic course. For non-credit courses, each qualifies for a reduction of $150 after scholarship reduction while each noncredit course is $600.
To be a beneficiary of this scholarship, the reserve service member or active duty, veteran, or spouse/dependent must complete an Atlantic University Military Scholarship application, submit an essay, and demonstrate proof of service by availing the Atlantic International University with supporting documents.
All scholarships are reviewed annually. The review starts one year from the student’s first enrollment date and will proceed every year until program completion or graduation. During this review, you may be requested to provide updated documents supporting that you, your spouse or dependant are on active duty or reserve status.Your scholarship can be revoked if you fail to produce your military status.
Eligibility to benefit from an Atlantic Military scholarship includes:
1. You must be fully enrolled in “unconditional” status (as applicable) to the University before applying for a scholarship.
2. Must complete the Atlantic University Military Scholarship Application.
3. Complete an application essay: The essay should be approximately 500 words indicating why you need the scholarship, how it will help you to attain your goals, and how you will deploy your education to assist others.
4. Present to the university all the necessary supporting documents. These include:
DD-214 (Discharge of Duties), must have Honorable or Other than Honorable discharge

Leave and Earnings Statements (LES)

Nonprofit Employee Scholarship
Note: This scholarship cannot be combined with Veterans benefits.
This form of scholarship applies to any employee of a verifiable 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization
Nonprofit employees can get a scholarship in the form of a 20% reduction in tuition per academic credit. This is equivalent to a $216 reduction per academic course. Noncredit courses are reduced by $150 each. After scholarship reduction, each noncredit course is $600.
To get this scholarship, all nonprofit employees must:

Submit a 500-word essay: The essay should be 500 words indicating why you need the scholarship, how it will help you attain your goals, and how you will deploy the education to assist others.
Demonstrate proof of employment at a verifiable 501 (c)(3) by presenting supporting documents to the university
Present a letter from your employee/supervisor indicating that you are employed by the nonprofit and you are in good standing.
